Dalhousie Castle has a delightful chapel where couples can have their wedding ceremony, whether for a civil of religious service. When the chapel is used for a civil service it reverts to its original name ‘The gunroom’.
Uniquely, Dalhousie Castle can offer the magical ‘ring delivery’ where one of our Tawny Owls will fly down to the Best Man (who is wearing a falconers glove) with a little pouch holding the all important rings. This is a particularly unique and hugely romantic way to deliver the wedding rings.
In addition we are also delighted to arrange for a flying display or handling experience, whilst the Bride and Groom are busy with the photographer, making the waiting for all guests pass much more quickly and interestingly.
Please not that owing to Scottish Law we are unable to offer the ring delivery for Civil Ceremonies although we are able to offer an alternative suggestion for those who would still like this experience.
